How to Choose Crystals and Stones When Shopping Online

So, how do you choose the perfect crystal or stone when shopping online?

RESEARCH WHAT YOU NEED…

Visit our Crystals and Stones pages (located under the "Crystals" tab) to read up on the Healing Properties of each one. To find crystals that help with a specific purpose, do a search within the page to instantly highlight what you’re looking for. ***To search using your computer keyboard… Press “Ctrl” & “F” at the same time and enter the word(s) you are looking for. For Example: If you are searching for crystals that help with pain, search for the word “pain”.

LET YOUR INTUITION GUIDE YOU…

• Take a moment to relax, think about what you’re looking for and set your intention to find both what you want and what you need!
• Then, open our shopping page and start looking around. What stone was the first one you noticed? Which one were you instantly drawn to? Did you get excited when you first saw it? Do you keep going back to that same one again and again?
• As you look at each crystal, are you receiving intuitive information that comes through suddenly such as a feeling, sound, taste, smell, or sudden inner knowing? Intuitive information comes through for a reason, and it’s usually to grab your attention so you don’t miss out on something important.
• As you concentrate on each stone, pay attention to how you FEEL when you look at each one. As you look at each stone, does something suddenly change physically or even mentally? Do you experience sudden physical sensations somewhere within your body, such as a light touch, a sudden breeze, heat and/or tingling sensation? Do you suddenly feel a great sense of calm? Do you feel the urge to reach out and touch the stone? When your brain is too busy thinking, sometimes your body will step in and give you the intuitive information you need.

ASK YOU PENDULUM FOR THE ANSWER…

Hold your pendulum very still above your hand and ask it to show you a “yes”, “no” and “maybe”. Note the direction it moves for each one. Then ask if the crystal you are currently looking at is right for you. Did you get your answer?

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?

Sometimes the colors we are drawn to (usually our favorite colors), are drawing us in for a reason. For instance, those who love the color purple sometimes have energetic blocks within the Third Eye and Crown Chakra areas of their bodies and will experience frequent headaches or have trouble sleeping and could usually benefit from a crystal such as Amethyst (a purple crystal) which can help cleanse those areas of the body. Look around at the crystals that include your favorite color(s). Then, check out the healing properties of each of those stones. Are they the right ones for you? 

FREQENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How do I shop for someone else to give crystals or stones as a gift?

Just think of that person and then follow the same steps as mentioned above. You can also ask yourself; do they already have a crystal collection started? If so, what do they already have in their collection? If they have a lot already, look for the more unique looking stones and once again follow the instructions mentioned above.

What if the crystal I wanted is no longer available? What does that mean? It simply means it was NOT meant for you or the person you were shopping for. Don’t worry though, your Spirit Guides/Higher Self will always guide you in the right direction for that perfect stone. Keep looking!

Should I get rough or tumbled stones? Which is better?

They both have great energy! When it comes right down to it, it’s really just a matter of personal preference. Some people prefer the feeling of a tumbled stone because it can be gentler on the hands and some prefer stones the way mother nature has presented them, right out of the ground with the purest of energy, untouched by man. 

Remember, when choosing a stone that’s right for you, it may not be the prettiest stone in the bunch, in fact it may just be the odd looking one that grabs your attention; but, it will be the right one for you if you’ve followed the steps above. So, follow your gut/intuition/inner knowing and most of all, do not over think it! Or simply do what I do and just get one of each and then share the love with friends and family. ;-)
